There were 10 TBYC boats on the Coon Island Cruise, 2/16 & 17.  Friday arrivals included: Gregg & Becki on Interlude, Udo & Bev on it’sMee, Steve & Carol on Knot Enuf, Zvonko & Jill on The Great Escape, and Stan & Colleen on Northern Exposure.  Saturday arrivals: Marshall & Liza on Kudo, Del & Alex on Mystique, John & Sandy on Astarte, and Skip & Cathy on Stress Therapy.  Sunday afternoon Jon & Cindy on Lazy B II showed and were planning on staying over until Monday.

The weekend weather cooperated.  We only had rain Friday night and Sunday afternoon.  On Saturday Zvonko and Jill and John and Sandy opened their boats up for game day.  We had potluck dinner on the docks on Saturday.  SIYC brought dessert for both clubs and we met on the island under the covered picnic area for dessert and fellowship and a nice bon fire.  Saturday night we counted a total of 47 people from both clubs.  Both the East and West docks were completely full.  Sunday TBYC prepared breakfast for both clubs.  Since 2/18 was a holiday some people stayed over the extra day and headed out Monday.

Skip & Cathy came down with the flu and holed up in their boat for all of Sunday.  The solenoid cracked on it’sMee.  It got “hot wired” of sorts and after 3 hours of trying the engine finally turned over and was able to get it back to its slip at Rocky Pointe.

See you at next cruise at Sand Island on March 9th & 10th for our 1st Annual Ice Cream Social.

These are the pictures from the TBYC 2002 February Coon Island Cruise.  Anyone having further pictures from this event are requested to please send electronic versions to JRHoefer@home.com for inclusion on the website.  Or, if you can't get them scanned, give them to any club officer and they'll get them to me.  Let me know if you need them back, otherwise I'll forward the print(s) to the Club Historian after scanning.
